Kaldi
Kaldi is a wonderfully intense and complex coffee from Ethiopia, directly from Kaffa, the coffee's region of origin. The Arabica variety is a so-called heirloom - a term which refers to indigenous varieties, most of which can still be found growing wild in the forests. This coffee has a full body and light peach and lemon aromas as well as floral notes and some chocolate, its aftertaste is pleasant.

As the "motherland of coffee", Ethiopia is home to the oldest coffee drinking culture in the world. Ethiopians have been drinking coffee longer and more consistently than any other people on our planet. The legend of Kaldi, the shepherd boy who is said to have discovered the effects of the coffee fruit, is also based in Ethiopia, in the Kaffa region.
